General Info
Welcome to the senior Corner
We’re excited to celebrate your senior year and help make it one to remember. This section will be your go-to spot for updates and important information throughout the year.
CPR Graduation Requirement
TX Senate Bill 261 requires all high school seniors to be instructed in hands-only CPR and the use of an AED. All seniors are enrolled in the Canvas course.
HOW TO COMPLETE
Students will log into their Canvas account and be given 2 options:
1. Upload a CPR/AED certification card that was valid during their 7th-12th grade years.
2. Complete the CPR/AED module on Canvas.
The Canvas module fulfills a minimum requirement for graduation; this is not a CPR certification program.
FAFSA Graduation Requirement
Planning for life after high school starts now! One key step is completing your financial aid application.
Not sure where to start? Your counselor is here to help—don’t hesitate to reach out!
To meet state graduation requirements, students must complete ONE of the following:
- Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Submit the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
- Submit a signed opt-out form to their high school counselor
Let’s make sure every Knight is ready for what’s next!
